at our amazing school! Broadstep Academy-IL is located in Freeport, IL and offers
therapeutic
learning environments where individuals with developmental disabilities grow, change, and
thrive
under the watchful eyes of our supportive staff consisting of our Principal, teachers, para
professionals, direct service providers, clinicians and nurses. Broadstep Academy-IL is
certified
through the Illinois State Board of Education and provides for intensive, individualized
instruction
that focuses on the goals of the Individualized Education Plan. Disabilities that we serve
include
autism, intellectual disability, emotional disability, multiple disabilities, other health
impairment, among others. We serve individuals ages 6 through 21 and support the parents in
their
quest to find adult placement after Broadstep Academy-IL.
Broadstep Academy-IL partners with the sending school districts, parents, guardians, and
onsite team
members to structure and support the educational learning environment and plan combining
vocational
skills with academic in support of a transition to the job force if fitting. When making the
choice
